The rooms of the Hotel Montera transmit calmness and the feeling of restorative refuge that will be appreciated after a walk through bustling Madrid.
Just like the street where it is located, the interior design of the rooms also has contrasts: in them we see an elegantly refined version of the Castilian style. Its sets of arches, the wicker bench, its neutral tones, and the emphatic frames on the mirrors and paintings and the delicate trimmings on the headboards, all are contemporary nods to a very Spanish old decorative style. Added to this sophisticated elegance is the extraordinary quality of the finishes and materials. It’s hard to believe that through its wooden windows no noise from the street can be heard, everything in its design has been thought out down to the smallest detail to offer extreme comfort and with the ease of use of the latest technology and connectivity.
Relying on the evocation inspired by Montera, the characteristic cloth cap and trimmings worn by bullfighters, the rooms have been classified based on the different typical colours of the bullfighting costumes.
Bullfighters do not say blue, red, green or yellow, but rather cobalt, indigo, crimson, jasper, olive, pistachio, champagne, old gold. Some of these romantic names have been selected for naming the different types of rooms. These colours are reproduced in the delicate trimmings that adorn the headboards of the beds.
